“I wanted to establish a label that was different,” Joel Taylor, Unite founder and Managing Director said. “I grew tired of the same old stuff being force fed to consumers by mainstream clothing brands”, he continued. “A change was needed; an alternative way for people to express themselves.”

Nowadays, in a time when the media is insistent on brainwashing society to think money and fame is everything, Unite – not content with only conveying the message of unity – promotes the ideal that life should revolve around fun.

Unite supports the sport of bodyboarding through as many means possible. “Bodyboarding is in my blood,” says Joel. “The sport has played a major role in who I am, in my identity, so it’s a given that Unite is gonna give back to bodyboarding.”
